Add your child's Windows computer to your account

How to request your child's device be added to your account

Note: ScreenKin currently uses the Truple app for Windows monitoring. While ScreenKin is developing its own dedicated apps, the Truple app provides the underlying technology for Windows devices. Follow the steps below to connect a Windows computer to a ScreenKin account.

Instructions

  1. Install the Truple app. For Windows 10+ devices, install from https://windows.truple.io/prod/truple.installer.v2.exe. For Windows 7, 8 install from https://windows.truple.io/truple.installer.v2.windows8.exe.
  2. Open the Truple app
  3. Click Add device to account
  4. Provide the ScreenKin account email address you wish to add your device to (the parent's account email) and a device name, then click Submit.
  5. Your add device request was sent to the parent. They need to login to their ScreenKin parent dashboard and grant the request.
  6. Once the request is granted, click "Check if granted" and the app will launch the monitoring service.
  7. The parent can adjust the device's settings (image blurring, screenshot frequency, etc) from the ScreenKin parent dashboard

Windows 7 Notes

Windows 7 users need to have .Net Framework 4.5 or above installed in order for the monitoring app to run properly. Visit Microsoft's download page to do so. This is not necessary for Windows 8-10.
