Add your child's Android device to your ScreenKin Account

How to add your child's android device using the new add device process

Last updated: November 11, 2025

Instructions

Note: ScreenKin currently uses the Truple app for Android monitoring. While ScreenKin is developing its own dedicated apps, the Truple app provides the underlying technology for Android devices. Follow the steps below to connect an Android device to a ScreenKin account.

  1. Install the Truple app from the Google Play Store on your child's Android device.
  2. Open the Truple app
  3. Click Add device to account
  4. Enter in the email address of the ScreenKin account you wish to add your device to (the parent's account email that's subscribed to ScreenKin).
  5. Enter in a name for your device
  6. Click Submit
  7. The parent needs to login to their ScreenKin dashboard and grant the request.
  8. Once the request has been granted, open up the Truple app on your device. If it asks you to grant permissions, go to the next step. If it doesn't, click Check if granted and then go to the next step.
  9. Grant the permissions
  10. Check the battery optimization suggestions for your device type, and follow any instructions provided. (If you don't do this, monitoring may become unstable and stop working at random) See this page for device-specific instructions.
  11. The parent can adjust the device's settings (disable text redaction, image blurring, screenshot frequency, etc) from their ScreenKin parent dashboard.
