How to setup ScreenKin monitoring on Mac

Beta release

The ScreenKin app on MacOS is currently a beta release. If you experience any issues, please open a support ticket.

Setup Instructions

To install ScreenKin on your MacOS device, follow the steps below on the MacOS device you wish to monitor.

  1. Download the ScreenKin installer: https://mac.truple.io/sk/prod/ScreenKin.pkg

  2. Open the installer and click through the steps to install the app.

  3. Once installed, open Launchpad and click the ScreenKin app.

  4. Click Add Device to Account.

  5. Enter the subscribed ScreenKin account email address (Truple and Best Accountability accounts work too).

  6. Enter a device name.

  7. Click Add Device to Account.

  8. Grant the app access to the network so it can use the internet.

  9. The subscribed account owner can log in and approve the request from app.screenkin.com.

    (app.truple.io or app.bestaccountability.com can be used as well)

  10. Click Check if Granted.

  11. Click Request Permission.

  12. Click Open System Settings.

  13. Toggle the ScreenKin app's recording permission so it's on.

  14. Enter your MacOS password or fingerprint to approve the change.

  15. Click Quit & Reopen.

  16. Once the application reopens click Enable Now. This causes the application to automatically launch when the MacOS device turns on.

Congratulations! This MacOS device is now being monitored. Within a few minutes, check the report and you should see screenshots being captured.
